Well, tonight was the BHS annual Hill Auditorium concert. I was told the worst news of my LIFE! Van Tassel is our new assistant principal for next year. I suppose that's better than having him just quit. But then again, Taylor is nice to look at, but he's not what I'm used to. I'll be fine with this whole shebang if he still does marching band next year. I was really hoping that he would be band director until my sisters got through high school. When he told us, at Hill tonight, I started to tear up, and next thing I knew, I was balling. My makeup and everything was gone, (thus, I looked like shit afterwards, but hey, I don't care right now) and I swear, I was the only person who was in tears. He has done so much for me, he doesn't even know half of it. Being band director isn't that important, but the lessons he's taught me will never be surpassed. Tonight has to be one of the worst nights ever, just because of that. The class of 2006 (w00t) is taking this the hardest. The seniors really don't care, the freshman are celebrating, and the sophmores and like, "Huh, what?" The juniors have had the most important times with him, and he's going to be very sorry that he gave up his job. We are one of the TOP bands in the NATION, and after this year, we won't be anymore. Taylor is nothing compared to V.

Anyway, on the way to Hill tonight, I called my cousin David, and I asked him what he was going to be doing tonight and I invited him to the concert. He PROMISED me that he'd be there, and I shouldn't have fallen for it. It was simply another one of his dirty little tricks. I never should have listened to him, I knew that he wasn't going to come, so why did I even try to convince myself that he wasn't going to lie to me again? He hasn't been to ONE of my band concerts, swim meets, football games, parades, nothing. I have gone to every single one of his band concerts, soccer games, track meets, cross country meets, tennis matches, orchestra concerts, and even graduation. And he has yet to come to something of mine. I don't even expect him to come to my graduation next year, or my funeral, or my wedding, or anything. I got my hopes up that he would have been there, and that's exactly what I shouldn't have done.

Okay, enough with the sad poor pitiful me story, I must go to bed now, Gertrude is ticking me off, so I'm going to just to get her to shut up. I'll update more tomorrow, if I can. Oh wait, why couldn't I? I'm a loser who has no life, and is ALWAYS online. Ha, silly of me to forget. =\

Emo
Genre of softcore punk music that integrates unenthusiastic melodramatic 17 year olds who dont smile, high pitched overwrought lyrics and inaudible guitar rifts with tight wool sweaters, tighter jeans, itchy scarfs (even in the summer), ripped chucks with favorite bands signature, black square rimmed glasses, and ebony greasy unwashed hair that is required to cover at least 3/5 ths of the face at an angle.
::sniff sniff:: "The Demise of the Siberian Traintracks of Our Rusty Forgotten Unblemished Love" sounds like it would make a great emo band name. ::cry::

2. Emo
Punk music on estrogen. Often acoustic guitar with soft, high male vocals that dwell exessively on the singer's feelings, especially melancholy remembrances of past relationships/mistakes in life. A form of music that diverged from punk in the '80s, the name "emo" is derived from the emotive style of the lyrics and music. This genre has lately been marketed heavily by the music industry to teenagers with bands such as Dashboard Confessional and Taking Back Sunday, and has seen much commercial and mainstream success. The music has also spawned a subculture which conforms to certain conventions in dress such as tight sweatshirts, tight band T-shirts and horn-rim glasses. Adherents profess to exessively melancholy temperments. Males that adhere to the emo subculture are sometimes confused with metrosexuals; indeed the line between the two is somwhat blurred, though both groups claim to be intouch with their emotional side. The ephemeral and hackneyed nature of emo songwriting suggests that its audience will be restricted largely to teenagers. the genre suffers from a lack of credibility outside the aforementioned demographic group, much like current Nu Metal bands.
girlfriend: C'mon, lets have sex.
boyfriend: I'm too sad to have sex.
girlfriend: I'm sad too; lets have sex and cry.
boyfriend: I'm already crying.

1. Punk
Punk is basically thinking what you like, doing wot you like, doing it when you like, and not caring about very much at all. Just because you are a punk doesnt mean you cant listen to other genres of music and/or hang with people that arent punks nor does this make you suddenly less of a punk. All these wankers that have some kind of idea that if you like Blink 182 youre not a punk are wrong. Punk music itself has a lot of sub-genres, pop-punk being one of them. The music tends to be very fast, sometimes repetitive (thats the shit bands) and the lyrics are often very offensive. The dress for this group of people is do whatever you fucking well like. Punks also often get mistaken for greebos (pikies if you come from suffolk) yes thats right we dont want to kill ourselves or kill everyone around us we just disagree with them.
Punk: Hi, I couldnt give a flying fuck what you think of me, and i have a strong political opinion.

2. punk
TRUE: louder, faster form of rock and roll, often antiestablishment
FALSE: fast, tonedeaf pop-rock, often about relationships
TRUE: The Ramones
FALSE: Blink 182

(this def. is correct)
1. goth
Goths were one of the numerous barbarian tribes, which invaded the crumbling Roman Empire at the end of the fourth century. Originally a minor scandinavian people, they migrated to what is now northern Poland during the first century BC. Having submitted locals, they settled there for roughly a century. During the second century, they resumed their march southward, crossing what is now Poland, and Ukraine. They finally reached the shores of the Black Sea, coming into contact with the Romans, they wrestled present days Romania from. There, they created a large multiethnic empire, which waged several wars against Romans. This Empire was however destroyed by the Huns around 370

They would kick the ass of any worthless teenager with unnatural black hair and nails.

2. goth
Goth is an alternative subculture; it is both a style of music and a fashion, like Punk. People who listen to the music don't necessarily dress in the style, and people who look like goths don't necessarily like the music either - a lot of metal fans have adopted the goth look, making for a great deal of confusion.
However, on the rare occasion that someone looks like a goth and likes goth music, chances are they're actually a goth.
Some fake "goths" are only gothic to scare their conservative parents. They like the shock value of black and the white make up. They like being noticed as a goth and hang out with their "gothic" marylin manson loving friends who hate everybody except "goths" until someone questions their gothicness. Then they hate you and threaten to cast a hex on you even though they aren't learned in the art of wicca and just want to scare you. The mean goths who have no friends are often the fake people who believe gothic culture revolves around marylin manson, hatred, death and black. These "goths" like evanecence, linkin park and some other rock bands of the month.
Goths are really nice people except the fakeies they blow up situations and cut themselves even though there is nothing to be depressed about.
The name originally came from a Germanic tribe (ie the Goths). The Romans regarded them as barbaric and uncultured, much like the Vandals. "Gothic" was later applied to a style of medieval architecture by critics who regarded it as similarly barbaric and uncultured (something similar happened with the term "Vandal"). The term was later applied to a late 18th/early 19th century style of literature which had a fascination with death and the supernatural.
The term "Gothic" was first applied to the music which is now considered "goth" in about 1979- see the name page for details.

Later on, the term "Goths" or "Gothic Punks" was applied to fans of the music, particularly those that had the gothic look.
The early goths looked similar to punks, except that the predominant colours were black for hair & clothing (with the occasional outburst of white, red or purple) and silver for jewellery. Thus they had ripped clothing, and even mohicans, though the "Goth Mohican" was usually black and much wider than the punk version (shaved at the sides only). They also tended to spout a lot of fishnet (more usually on the arms for men) and had a distinctive style of makeup, with very white faces and lots of black eyeliner (for both men and women). Hair was usually dyed black, crimped and backcombed.
At first the hair was usually fairly short for men, backcombed up, but by the mid-to-late eighties long black hair became fashionable and it's now more usual to see hair long & down than shaved at the sides & spiked up. Makeup remains an integral part of the look, but clothing has diversified so that some now wear clothes influenced by 18th or early 19th century styles whilst others wear PVC, leather & fishnet. (crushed velvet tends to be another goth favourite). And some of them wear both, though not usually at the same time. Black and white remain the predominant colours, with red or purple still making an appearance. Distinctive fabrics tend to be silk, crushed velvet, leather & PVC.
The first goth music grew out of punk, and some of the early bands were very lively, characterised by tribal drumming. Things changed in the mid-eighties, mainly due to the rise of the Sisters of Mercy, probably the most well-known goth band. The Sisters were characterised by deep vocals, simple yet prominent basslines, and simple drum machine rhythms. Unfortunately they came to typify the "Goth Sound" and too many later bands followed their example.
Later on, there was some crossover with the Industrial scene, and a lot of bands now use electronic sounds as well as the archetypal guitar/bass/drum machine/vocals.

In the late 90s, "cybergoth" became very popular, essentially a mix of goth-style vocals with a dancey backing. Whether this is a subgenre of goth, a subgenre of industrial, or a mixture of both is a vexed question, but overall the scene seems to lean more towards the industrial side of things.
There is also a fair bit of "ambient" goth, characterised by subtle instrumentation and haunting female vocals.
Lyrically, goth tends to be on the doomy side- dark lyrics and a doomy sound are fairly typical of most (but not all) goth these days.
My friend is a goth she was into wicca and the dress style but not the music. She dosen't talk to me anymoe coz I'm not goth enough for her. She hates my group of friends because one day one person told her she was sitting in her spot. That's when she left the group. I knew a girl who was into the whole shebang. She is really nice not depressing and mean (as goths are steryotyped as).

1. poseur
Poseur is the correct version of the more common "poser". The term is used for 2 reasons-

A) As an insult, used by one who is insecure and attempts to enhance their image by making people believe they have the authority to call someone else a poseur,

or

B) One who groups him or her self in a particular social clique in order to appear trendy or "edgy" but doesn't believe in the principals held by said clique and is only leeching onto it in order to avoid the social ridicule of not being part of a clique. A poseur will probably change their "style" once every 6 months, possibly more.

The common thread is insecurity- the insecurity to be yourself and be happy with it. Poseurs are the kinds of people who only appear "cool" to people who are just as insecure as they are. But no one ever found success lying to themselves for acceptance.
"Those mall punks are such poseurs, they have anarchy signs written all over their All-Stars, but nota single one of the retarded 8 year olds knows what it is, or that the sweatshopped armbands they all bought at Hot Topic support the system they claim to be rebelling against. Now lets go home and listen to some Yellowcard and cry so we can be hardcore," says the pussy emo kid with the rich parents and cute girlfriend, who has nothing to complain about, before I punch him.

2. poseur
the definition of poseur is
1- a fake person
2- a person who acts like something theyre not
3- a person who calls other people poseurs
4- a person who calls other people poseurs just to make themselves feel better
5- a person who thinks everyone else is a poseur
6- a person who is insecure with themselves so they put on a show
7- a person looking on this site to make sure they are not a poseur
1- "that girl is such a poseur because she shops at hot topic"
2- "man your such a poseur because you like bands from good charlotte to slipknot, and those are poseurbands"

1. prep
Noun (Prep): Comes from identifiying one who goes to a prepratory or "prep" school (typically on the East Coast), or a school with the intent of preparing its students for college (often Ivy League).
Has come to be an label for those who conform to typical teenage behavior, in areas like clothing, school behavior, and sports participation, because preps usually are more ambitious and/or image-conscious than others.
Popular belief is that preps hate nerds/goths/punks/etc, however, generally, preps pay little attention to other "types," and those who hate preps with the most passion are those who were once preps and have recently gone away from their previous behavior, and often people who are posers intent on protecting their alternative-ness.
Prep has become to be nearly synonymous with conformist, to the point where most preps have been in denial of their typecast, and it is seen as an insult in the eyes of many.
Preppy is the adjective form, Preppily is the adverb.
The prep dreamed of going to a school that wasn't too far from where her quarterback boyfriend got a scholarship.
Bob wouldn't talk to Annie; He thought her interest in MTV and popular culture made her too preppy.
Tiffany started dressing very preppily over the summer, shedding her all-black dress code for the latest styles.

2. prep
ditz, bitch, slut, concieded, self-centerred, world revolves around them. generally posers go to lots of parties wear such expensive clothes as Hollister, American Eagle, Abercrombie and Fitch, Express, Armani Exchange, and shop at Victorias Secret for bras that they dont even need because they are fucking size 'A.' Also spend way too much on makeup like Bobbi Brown when they can look just as skanky with Mabelline
Blondie> OMG Lindsdey can you like believe Heidi slept with him he is so five minutes ago
Lindsey> oh I know and she totally wrinkeled her new AE pants
Blondie> ugh I know do i look fat in these?

3. prep
A person who uses the word like and wow and totally a whole lot and thay care alot about there hair and make-up and how they look often they are cheerleaders; steriotype
Gurl 1: Omg my eyeshadow is so like screwed up i am gonna die
Gurl 2: Omg it is come on i have my stuff in a bag lets go fix it
(gurl 2 pulls out a huge duffle bag full of make-up)
LATER
gurl 1:Now we r ready for cheerleading

More to come!

Okay, so today after school, Justy, Fayef, and I all went over to Skittlez house for a "party" for Justy's birthday. Well, we got there, and we were going to play DDR but something broke or something or other. So, somehow, we started talking about politics! We were all talking about abortions, homosexual presidents, and all that good stuff. We were supposed to go into the spa, but Skittlez forgot to turn it on or something so we didn't do it. Anyway, then I attacked Justy with pink eyeliner and purple eyeshadow. Skittlez and I tried to get Justy to wear a skirt, but I didn't get to see him wearing it, only Fayef and Skittlez did. After that, we went back down to play DDR again, I don't know why, but we did. Fayef and Skittlez were sitting in the big chair and then, well, I have one thing to say about that, LMFAO! I'll post a picture in a second. So, after Justy left, Skittlez and Fayef sat around doing homework, and I got re-addicted to the Sims! I made Hernando Sanchez and Anastastia from Romania! Fayef dropped me off around 9:15 and the first thing my family said to me was, "Report card?" I'm so happy! I actually passed everything! My GPA for this semester was a 2.7773 and my overall is 2.2334! It's not the best, but it's better than the .890 and the 1.7776 from last year! I got A's and B's in everything, except civics, which I got a D in. But oh well, who cares about Civics anyway? I know that I sure as hell don't! Anyways, here's the picture that I told you I would post....

Today was the Belleville High School Men's Varsity Swimming and Diving Swim-A-Thon! The guys had to swim 200 laps of a 25 yard pool, that equals out to 5,000 yards. I had to count for lane 2 which was a major pain in my ass. T.J. finished in 1:04.45 or something like that, and when he finished, my lane was only on their 90th lap. I was about to stab myself in the eye repeatedly with a dull safety pin.
Well, after the Swim-A-Thon, most of the team went to Tommy Cast's house, including me. I called mommy Cast and I asked if I could come because Tommy didn't invite me, or atleast I don't think he did. But anyways, she said that she didn't care if I came, I just had to be brave to put up with the guys. I'm brave damnit, I survived. Mr. Cast got 2 big party pizzas and in like 5 minutes, it was gone. It was crazy! T.J. claimed the big beanbag and everyone was fighting for it. T.J. didn't want to lose his beanbag so he made me get his pizza. Oh well, I don't mind. Then, everyone piled around the flat screen in Tom's basement and played PS2 and Gamecube. I believe they were playing Medal Of Honor Frontline and Killzone, but I'm not sure. I don't even play video games, so I was completely lost.

After T.J. and Chad left, it was Doemer, Greca, Poirier, D'Onofrio, Davenport, King, Coppock, and Cameron left. Well, including Tom and I. I claimed the beanbag and A.J. was like, trying to lay on top of me or something, it was really gross. I don't like that kid, never have, never will.

Well, I'm going to bounce, peace out bitches!

My snow day completely sucked major ass! I slept until noon and then I got online. Emily Gumpher IM'd me and we made plans to go sledding at 2:00 at the hill on the S. Service Drive. Well, I picked up Tootie at 1:45 and we got there around 1:55. Well, Emily called me around 2:32 saying that she was just now leaving. So, I was mad because I could have been home sleeping, but no. So, 3:30 passes by, I called her house, and her mom said that she had just left. I'm like, okay, I'll give her a couple more minutes. By this time, Judith and I are freezing our asses off. So, my sisters show up with their friend Courtney, and so I let them use my sled for a couple trips down the hill. I looked at my phone and it was like 5:00 PM. I was so fucking pissed, I called my dad and I was like, just come get us. I am so pissed, I wasted my whole fucking day! I could have been doing my homework, which I chose not to do, so I could go sledding with Emily! Now, I have to finish my book talk for 3rd hour tomorrow, I have to finish up my 15 missing assignments for my Civics class, and I have 2 papers to write! Gah! My snow day completely sucked!
Important Message

Okay, now here's the important message. This is going to be very hard for me to say but, I need to say it. I'm sure lately that girls/guys have been noticing patches of my eyelashes missing, right? If not, well, you do now! This is because I have been suffering with Trichotillomania. Trichotillomania (TTM) is an impulse disorder that causes people to pull out the hair from their scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows, or other parts of the body, resulting in noticeable bald patches. It is currently defined as an impulse-control disorder, but there are still questions about how it should be classified. It may seem, at times, to resemble a habit, an addiction, a tic disorder or an obsessive-compulsive disorder. It is estimated to affect one to two percent of the population, or four to eleven million Americans. I've been pulling since I was in the 5th grade, so about six years now. I stopped for about two years and then I had family and school trouble, which seemed to triggered trich again. I've always pulled my eyelashes, and in 5th grade, it was so bad, that for my 5th grade pictures, I had no eyelashes and you could tell. The only reason I'm telling you all this, is to help myself recover. Many hair pullers have discovered that the shame of being alone and hiding the condition can make it even harder to focus on strategies to reduce pulling. Joining a support group can go a long way toward erasing the shame and making people with TTM feel "normal" again. TLC maintains a database of support groups around the country for people with TTM, and referrals are free. TLC will also assist with the formation of new support groups. Some support groups are entirely peer-run; others are run by a mental health professional. Many groups feature a "check-in" time-a time for members to report on their progress-which can help reduce pulling. But, since I'm not able to go to a normal "group" I'd like some support here. If you don't think you can handle it, that's fine, tell me, and I'll edit/delete my post or whatever. Thank you for you time.
